The Holiday:
Knock, knock, who’s there? YOU?
AMAZING ACTIVITIES: options from climbing, abseiling, paddle boarding, gorge scrambling, fell walk, campfire and more
BRILLIANT BELONGING: friendship, fun, family, laughter, great food
CALM and CREATIVE: craft, jigsaws, games room (table tennis, pool and more)
And an open, relaxed opportunity to learn about Jesus and discuss what you believe.
The Location :
Knock Christian Centre is set in beautiful countryside with amazing views all around between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Small dormitories/shared bedrooms; sports hall; games room with pool, table tennis; football field. Own bedding required.
We are based in an area of outstanding natural beauty about 10 miles east of Penrith. It is easy to access, being 13 miles from the M6 (Junction 40) or via the A1(M) and A66. It can also be reached by train to Appleby on the Settle–Carlisle Railway – we will arrange lifts from there.
We aim to help everyone feel welcome and have the best possible holiday.
The Activities and The Programme:
During the week there are opportunities for a variety of activities including climbing, abseiling, paddle boarding, gorge scrambling, archery, fell walk and more. Each day also features times of worship and teaching, learning more about God with the freedom to ask any questions, as well as time to relax and chill out.
The Team:
Between them the Overall Leaders have considerable experience of working with teenagers, both in church groups and elsewhere. They are Ruth Stewart, a language teacher and D of E leader in London; Jack Bacon, Communications Officer for the Diocese of Leeds; Sarah Williams, a retired vicar; Chris Warrington, a software engineer from London. Together with an experienced team from across the country, we plan to make the week the best it can be.
