The Holiday:
Fun in the sun, food with friends, fantastic activities and the free grace of God! Whether you love sport or craft or team games or drama or chilling out, we have something for you, all mixed together with a brilliant programme of Bible studies, seminars and talks that will help you get to know Jesus.
Churches who send leaders to Sparkford 1 are able to reserve places from 3rd January. Other bookings will be placed on a waitlist and be allocated available spaces from 5th February 2024.
The Location :
One of the main reasons we’ve been on the same site for over thirty years is the wonderful facilities set within 200 acres of parkland. Hazlegrove House has masses to occupy the teenagers and we make good use of the grounds, theatre, indoor swimming pool, sports hall and squash courts, art block and a whole raft of other facilities over the course of the week. Everybody sleeps
in comfortable dormitories and we eat our meals together in the central dining room with fresh food prepared onsite.
The Activities and The Programme:
Our activities programme is extensive and caters for all interests and abilities. Whether you’re sporty, enjoy arts & crafts, or if music or drama is your thing this is the right place. All of these activities take place either within the grounds of our beautiful boarding school in Somerset or in the surrounding areas. Our creative leadership team work hard all year planning and booking activities that will make this a summer holiday to remember. One of the great joys of Sparkford 1 is the friendships that the teenagers make along the way and the activities programme is a huge part of that.
The Team:
Our leaders and taskforcers come from all over the country. We all love Jesus and count it a privilege to spend 8 days of our summer sharing our lives and the gospel with everyone on Sparkford 1. Many of our leaders are youth group leaders at the home churches of the members.
